Ira M. Resnick, Director and Founder of the Motion
Picture Arts Gallery.
After graduating from New York University Film School in 1971,
Ira spent ten years as a freelance photographer, all the while
collecting movie posters. He founded MPA in December of 1982 to
promote Movie Art and build a great collection.
 Joe Burtis, Director of
Client Services
Director of Client Services means wearing many hats for Joe
Burtis. Joe does all appraisals for the gallery. The overall
selections that are brought to the public as well as items
purchased for our gallery or accepted for trade are within his
domain.
Joe met Ira Resnick in 1983 at a poster and postcard show.
Soon after, they began to do business together. In 1994, Ira and
Joe decided to join forces and Joe became Director of Client
Services at MPA.
 Gil Wang, Business Affairs
Gil and Ira have worked together for over thirty years. He is
a certified public accountant in New York State since 1974 and is
the principal of The Wang Management Group, Inc. of White Plains,
NY.
Otto Medvetsky, restoration Artist
A painter by training, Otto graduated from the Bratislava
Academy of Fine Arts in Slovakia. He currently exhibits mixed
media works. At MPA, Otto patiently restores motion picture art
for the gallery and our clients.
 Bruno
Nouril,
Bruno has worked as an assistant in the gallery since his
arrival to the States from England. He is a recent graduate of
NYU, where he majored in Religious Studies. He assists the
gallery in all its day-to-day activities, and is the author of
the Monthly Features.
